Both are served by air taxi and air charter firms such as Great Circle Aviation to LAX and going to other destinations such as San Diego and San Luis Obispo.

Private airlines prefer smaller general aviation airports such as Santa Monica, Van Nuys, Hawthorne or one of the dozens of other small airports in the area. LAX does not cater to small general aviation; Burbank does but is high traffic; Long Beach has a very complicated transport system.

Los Angeles makes a fantastic flying destination due to the number of airports and the generally good weather. The delays may occur due to the heavy traffic in all the airports. The airports cannot boast good connection with the city, public transport is regular but very slow. The best transportation choice is shuttle bus or taxi.
