Dodger Stadium, north of Downtown, is the home of the Los Angeles Dodgers, with seasons running April-October. Staples Center, is a newly-built sports and entertainment arena, hosting two basketball teams, LA Lakers and LA Clippers. LA has not had a resident National Football League team since 1995, so invites numerous star teams from other states.
